The terrine had intense flavour but I really would have preferred a steak. Service was kind and attentive. Maybe it’s the basic American in me but I would love a big hearty salsa. “ Sophisticated and yet unpretentious this is one of the best restaurants I’ve experienced in Mexico. I walked in on a busy evening. Although all the tables were occupied they didn’t simply push me away. The hostess engaged me in a pleasant converse whilst they tried to clear a table for me. The menu was very interesting. It was a good mix of Mexican tradition with some modern gastronomy concept. I had the ceviche and the stuffed chicken with red mole. Both were excellent. The cocktail was very tasty too. The service was friendly and helpful throughout. They truly deserve their Michelin star. Bravo! ”

“ Absolutely amazing experience. I was a bit sus of the great reviews but they’re all true, this place is really worth it. This was one of the best meals we had in Oaxaca. Our waiter, Antonio, was very kind, and when we told him we don’t eat pork or porcine products, he took time to explain different dishes and their ingredients to us, and quickly suggested alternative ingredients to porcine ones. We were also given a surprise dessert as it was our anniversary. Would recommend to anyone and everyone visiting Oaxaca. ”

“ Top five meals during my trip to Mexico. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Great ambiance. Loved the drinks. We ordered the mole tasting appetizer with the plantain dough, loved the explanation of the dish and of course the taste. Such a great way to enjoy Oaxaca’s moles if you are in a time crunch. We also had the chicken and the shrimp tlayudas which to me were fantastic. I want to add that we didn’t know which drink to get but when I explained to the waitress what flavors we liked, her suggestions were spot on! We had an amazing experience and we will certainly without a doubt return there. ”

“ Top notch staff and restaurant, from the hostess up on entrance to our exit. We were asked about eating preferences and allergies. Me being vegan, this was important. I received a tomato shaped jelly/ gummy treats with ingredients from the chef's garden. The food was amazing. The hummus, was fire. I will definitely return. ”

He helped guide us through the menu, both historically through understanding the roots of the food and to help us find dishes that would complement flavors we enjoy. Very attentive, professional and funny. He was our favorite server in all of Oaxaca. Our favorite dishes were the pork rib and the flan. Everything is presented beautifully and the atmosphere is gorgeous. It stays cool with fans if you go for lunch. Not a single drop of food was left on our plates. ”
